Djinama Yilaga

Djinama Yilaga is an intergenerational Yuin choir who performs in Dhurga language of the South Coast, a language which was spoken and understood by many of the 13 tribes within the Yuin Nation of the South Coast of NSW.
Djinama Yilaga means ‘happy ceremony’, and the choir emerged in 2019 with the intent to revitalise the Dhurga language through song. Led by Walbunga/Ngarigo artist Cheryl Davidson, the group has performed at sold out shows at the National Museum of Australia, Four Winds Festival and most recently at Majors Creek Festival and is in increasing demand at national and local events.
Groove Society
Saturday, May 6 Salty Festival Fiesta by Olsson’s
Groove Society are a DJ duo from Australia’s creative hotspot on the South Coast of NSW. They bring a huge stage presence and combine a deep musical knowledge with superior technical ability and are almost ready to release their first single in April. They’ve featured at Splendour in the Grass, Laneway Sydney and can’t wait to get us on our feet in Rock Oyster Country. Tickets to the Salty Fiesta include Mexican snacks and roaming canapés, complimentary drink, access to a cocktail bar with exclusive margarita tastings of Olsson Salts new cocktail range. Share your festival adventures by the fire, graze on fabulous eats and drinks from the bar then hit the dance floor!
Owen Campbell & the Cosmic People

Smouldering guitar work, gritty caramel vocals, and sublime rhythm section, Owen’s sound is best described as alternative blues and soulful cosmic rock. In 2013 their debut album, “Sunshine Road,” reached Number 1 on the Australian charts and knocked Adele off the top spot in 2014. Veterans of long tours with over 12 years of national and international adventures, this band is about to release their seventh album, with each of it’s predecessors hitting the Top 10 on iTunes Blues Charts in over 10 countries.

Find the community stage at the southern end of the festival, and enjoy a stroll though Oyster Farmer’s Alley or the markets along the way.
Muladha Gamara Dancers

Join Muladha Gamara Dancers for a traditional smoking ceremony during the festival’s Welcome to Country.

Djaadjawan Dancers

Djaadjawan means ‘sand’ in dhurga language, and this fantastic women’s group will be part of the Festival’s Welcome to Country.
Yuin woman Sharon Mason founded the Djaadjawan Dancers after attending an Aboriginal women’s camp in Narooma, sponsored by Katungal Aboriginal Medical Service and Wagonga Local Aboriginal Land Council. The aim of the camp was to have local Aboriginal women and children teach and share their traditional knowledge.
Jakob Poyner
Saturday, May 6 in the Southern Phone Rock Oyster Lounge
Hailing from Narooma, Jakob is a young man with an astonishing voice. Jakob will providing sweet, sweet tunes in the Southern Phone Rock Oyster Lounge at this year’s festival and is a contestant in 2023 Australian Idol.
