Zoe meets Australia’s Ambassador to Ireland
Australian Oyster Shucking Champion Zoe Jacobson has received a warm welcome in Dublin ahead of Saturday’s World Oyster Opening Championships in Galway.
Zoe, husband Mathew and Narooma Rocks General Manager Renee Pearce met Australia’s Ambassador to Ireland, H.E. Chantelle Taylor, at the Australian Embassy on Wednesday morning.
“The World Oyster Opening Championships are synonymous with a visit to the Australian Embassy for our Australian Champions,” Renee said. “The team are always so supportive, and it makes a huge difference when they are this far from home.”
The team presented Ambassador Taylor with a few pieces of Narooma to mark the occasion, including a Narooma Oyster Festival Oyster Book, tee, apron and oyster shucking knife.
