Oyster Alley

Oyster Alley will bring South Coast oyster farmers and their produce to one hot spot of oyster tasting action. Shucked fresh, taste varieties of oysters from over 6 local estuaries, au naturel or adorned with each farmer’s special toppings. Tough choice – what will be your favourite?

Big Oyster Bar

The Big Oyster Bar stands conveniently near the music stage and stalls selling local wines, beer and cider. Kick back, take in the atmosphere and enjoy a tray of perfectly cooked oysters with scrumptious sauces. Need something substantial? No problem – each year the bar has something else up their sleeve. We’re hoping the prawn laksa comes back!

Shucking

Oyster Shucking is a crowd favourite, with the action heating up later in the afternoon. Hotly contested, the men’s and women’s finals are not to be missed and a crowd favourite! Professionals vs amateurs – you will not believe how fast they can shuck. And what’s even better? Eat everything that’s opened!

Australia’s Biggest Oyster

In 2018 we had a crack at the Guinness Book of records with what we thought was the World’s Biggest Oyster. While it was close, turns out the way we measure big is different to theirs! Now we’re continuing with our own Australia’s Biggest Oyster competition, launched in a 2019. Will it be Bernie Connell’s Oyster named Jack? Who knows but if you have a big oyster and want to enter, we welcome you. If not, come along to the Narooma Oyster Festival and see for yourself – big, big oysters and larger than life oyster farmers vying for the title of Australia’s Biggest Oyster.

Friday Night

Join us on Friday, 30th April for an evening of festivities for the whole family. Enjoy fantastic entertainment, live music and food stalls – all on the waterfront at Forster’s Bay Narooma.

Music Stage

Music all Saturday! We’ve got music & entertainment all day at the festival from <update time>. Throughout the afternoon you’ll enjoy upbeat blues, soulful, acoustic solos and much more.

Gourmet Food

At the festival there’s great food for everyone. Our food stalls have been handpicked from Narooma and surrounds, maintaining a diverse culinary experience at a high standard. Spend the day grazing and sampling while enjoying all of the entertainment. Local wineries and craft breweries are also on the ready, serving chilled wines, beers and ciders that compliment your festival food experience.

Local Culture

Narooma has a rich, historic culture that we celebrate Oyster Festival. Spend some time at the fire pit and witness traditional, indigenous cooking methods of local seafoods.

Kids

We haven’t forgotten the little ones either. There’s loads of fun for the kids – run on the foreshore, kids rides, great food and a terrific atmosphere.
