Presented by Narooma Rocks, the Narooma Oyster Festival is the region’s biggest calendar event.
Now in its 18th year, the Festival is built around showcasing the rock oyster and its growers. The festival is home to the Australia’s Biggest Oyster Competition and the Australian Oyster Shucking Championships, along with oyster masterclasses, cooking demonstrations with visiting and local chefs, Yuin Culture, markets, live music and arts.
Stall holders are a key part of the festival experience and a way to showcase food and wine products, creations and innovations from the South Coast and beyond.
The Festival has a strong following, and regularly attracts 10,000 people from the South Coast, regional NSW, Sydney and Canberra, with an average of 65,000 oysters eaten each year!
Festival highlights include Australia’s Oyster Shucking Championships and Australia’s Biggest Oyster, Ultimate Oyster Experiences, Oyster Alley, cooking program with celebrated chefs, produce and retail markets, two stages, children’s entertainment, cruises and exclusive dining experiences.
The festival is cashless, however stall holders can use cash at your discretion. We strongly encourage you to provide EFTPOS to make the most of your day!
